Dr. Sharon Momenian-Schneider, Psy.D.

Dr. Sharon Momenian-Schneider earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Widener University, with a professional concentration in psychoeducational assessment and psychoanalytic psychotherapy. She completed dual fellowships in assessment and child psychotherapy at the Reiss Davis Child Study Center in Los Angeles.

With years of experience conducting psychoeducational and neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults, Dr. Momenian-Schneider specializes in comprehensive assessments and differential diagnosis—helping families understand what’s happening when the clinical picture is complex and multiple factors may be at play. Her approach integrates deep clinical insight with practical guidance to support meaningful progress at home and school.

In addition to her professional work, Dr. Momenian-Schneider is the mother of two “neuro-spicy” students in the public school system, bringing both professional expertise and personal understanding to her practice.

Kay LaBanca, Ed.M.

Katharine (Kay) LaBanca is an accomplished, award-winning educator, Educational Therapist, and Executive Functioning Coach with over 20 years of experience. She holds degrees from Colgate University (BA, summa cum laude), Harvard University (EdM in Learning & Teaching), and Hood College (EdM in Educational Leadership). Kay’s international teaching career spans classrooms in China, India, Poland, the United States, and South Korea.

She spent over a decade in Montgomery County Public Schools as an English, ESOL, and literacy teacher leader and now creates personalized curricula for students K-adult through her private practice. A busy Mom dedicated to educational equity, Kay served as Chairperson of the Board of Trustees at the American School of Warsaw, PTA President at Fallsmead Elementary, and continues advocacy as a Cluster Coordinator and PTA Board member in her sons’ schools. She also advises on admissions for Colgate and Harvard, supporting neurodiverse and gifted learners in reaching their highest potential.​

Jacqueline Renfrow, M.A., M.S.

Jacqueline holds a master’s degree in education and works as an educator, advocate and journalist in Montgomery County. She currently serves as adjunct faculty at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education and as a consultant for the Center for Technology in Education at JHU.

With a passion for improving education for the neurodiverse, she serves on the Rockville Education Commission and the Board of Directors for the Partnership for Extraordinary Minds—a nonprofit that provides resources for autistic students and their families. She is also the Inclusion Coordinator for the Temple Beth Ami religious school in Rockville and has taught English as a second language at schools around the country and internationally.

In addition, she continues to write and edit for publications ranging from topics in education and pharmaceuticals to marketing and the arts.
